Shepherd Statements are articles written by the elders to provide clarity on how we understand particular aspects of church life that may not be explicitly addressed in our Statement of Faith. In Scripture, pastors are often referred to as shepherds because, like shepherds who care for and guide their flock, pastors are called to lovingly lead, protect, and nourish the people entrusted to their care. These statements are meant to help the congregation understand how the elders intend to teach, lead, and counsel on various matters within the life of the church.
